The fingernail test
Drag a fingernail slowly across the scratch. This one check decides most of the price.
- Nail glides over it. The scratch is only in the clear coat. It buffs out by machine, no paint needed, usually same day.
- Nail catches slightly. Through the clear, into the colour. Often fixable with touch-up plus polishing, sometimes a spot spray.
- Nail drops in. Down to primer or bare metal. This needs filling and paint, and the sooner the better, because exposed metal rusts through the monsoon.

Deep Scratch Repair
For scratches that catch your fingernail: filled, primed, colour matched and repainted, then cleared and blended. Done properly the panel shows no ghost line where the scratch was, in any light.
Surface Scratch Buffing
Clear coat scratches that have not reached the colour are machine-buffed out with cutting compound and refined to full gloss. The most common scratch, and the cheapest fix, because no paint is involved.
Key Scratch Removal
Long deliberate scratches down doors and quarter panels. Depth usually varies along the line, so we repair section by section: buffing where it is shallow, filling and spraying where the key dug in.
Water Spot Removal
Hard water drying on paint leaves mineral rings that ordinary washing will not shift, and etches the clear if left. Chemical decontamination first, then machine polish to level the etching out.
Etch Mark Removal
Bird droppings, tree sap and insect remains are acidic enough to eat into clear coat within days in Bangalore heat. We remove the contamination and polish out the crater edge it leaves behind.
Touch-Up Paint Application
Small brush-applied colour for stone chips and tiny scratches, sealed over the top. Not invisible from thirty centimetres, but invisible from three metres, and it stops rust starting in every chip.
Spray Painting (Spot Repair)
Painting only the damaged section instead of the whole panel, blended out so the transition cannot be found. The cost-saver for corner scrapes and single-area damage. Larger areas move to panel painting.
